This position is based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.Duties
This duties of this position include, but are not limited to:- Maintain daily updated cashbooks.
- Responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Ensure monthly invoices are issued and payments are released on time.
- Perform expense coding, prepare payment vouchers, and handle other related accounting documentation.
- Managing petty cash, analyzing ledger accounts, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring timely completion of the monthly management closing.
- To process intercompany charging on a monthly basis and ensure compliance with government regulations (e.g., e-Invoice, SST, etc.).
- To record and register all purchased assets in the asset module.
- Liaise with relevant parties i.e. Auditor, Banker, Tax etc.
- Adhere to financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Complete any ad hoc tasks assigned by Account Officer.
Requirements
The following attributes would be an advantage:- Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
- Fresh graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; 2–3 years of relevant experience will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication in English and Malay (written and spoken) with strong time management skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, multitask effectively, and contribute as a strong team player.
- Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Able to interact and work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
