Today AFCS’s Community Development unit, together with Raleigh International completed their 72nd community development project in the TPFMA area.

The project, encompassing a gravity water system and a new ablution block, was installed at Kpg Sonsogon Magandai to provide clean, piped water and better sanitation to the village.

Speaking on the matter, AFCS CEO Glen MacNair said 'We are naturally very pleased to have completed the Kpg Sonsogon Magandai project but we also realised that its overdue that we celebrate the massive commitment shown by AFCS's shareholders, management team and partners to improving living conditions for communities in the area. With Raleigh International, PACOS and Mercy Malaysia, we have managed to successfully implement 72 projects since 2009. We have done a lot of good with these projects and it would not have been possible to do as much as we have without collaboration with like minded people and the support of the District Officers for Pitas and Kota Marudu. We are proud of our staff and very pleased to partner with Raleigh International and we hope to continue this important work in future."

These projects have benefited the people of 31 villages and cover a wide range of primary and socio-economic needs and the projects completed to date are:
